Thanks to Three Bridges School for allowing us to take part in their mini courses! Amy Torres enjoyed teaching stress reduction techniques as part of our Mind, Body and Movement program. The kids enjoyed listening to favorite songs from Mario Bros and the Barbie movie while focusing on breathwork. Healthy minds make healthy choices!

ONE VOICE SPONSORS MINI COURSES - BENEFITTING READINGTON TOWNSHIP HSA 

Carolanne Sherwood - Outreach Specialist and Amy Torres – Youth Project Coordinator led Mind, Body and Movement to students at Whitehouse School. The Yoga Ed program teaches that there is a link to mood and movement; and better prepares the students to handle stressful situations. The students learned that taking deep breaths, laughing or moving in silly ways, increases endorphins in our brains which makes us naturally feel better. Each child left with a One Voice goodie bag and a Parent Toolkit for their parents/guardians.

Bag Bingo to Benefit the Readington H.S.A.

April 12, 2024 - Bag Bingo to Benefit the Readington H.S.A.

One Voice sponsored a purse bingo round and provided door prizes for the event held at Readington Middle School. We gave Deterra safe medication disposal bags to each person in attendance. Executive Director Lesley Gabel and Outreach Specialist Carolanne Sherwood did a great job of calling Bingo and Lesley also spoke about the importance of safe medication disposal, DEA Takeback Day on 4/27/24 and the Medicine Dropbox locations, as well as the 911 Lifeline Legislation. Between volunteers and participants we reached almost 175 people, about 15 pre teen volunteers and 160 adults.
